What's the best Lusha alternative?

Jesse is a powerful Lusha alternative for teams that need to find the right companies, not just look up contacts at companies they already know. Jesse searches the live internet on every query and returns companies with a dated buying signal on every row.

Lusha is a contact-lookup tool, strongest as a browser extension on a profile you are already viewing.

Jesse vs Lusha: which should you pick?

Pick Jesse if your problem is who to call.

You want companies that changed something this month, described in one sentence, with the evidence attached.

Pick Lusha if your problem is how to reach them.

You already know the accounts and you live on LinkedIn. You want an email or phone number in one click at a low price per contact.

The two are not really rivals. Lusha is cheaper per contact, and Jesse is the only one of the two that finds companies by what just happened to them. The Jesse Research index lists Lusha as best for small teams sharing one pool of credits, and Jesse as best for buying signals right now.

Jesse does one thing Lusha does not. It tells you which companies to look up, because it reads the live web rather than a stored list.

Disclosure: Jesse is made by Floworks. It is checked here against the same points as Lusha.

    Why choose Jesse over Lusha?

How is Jesse's live search different from Lusha's contact lookup?

Lusha starts from a name you already have. Open a LinkedIn profile, click the extension, get the email and phone. Or filter Lusha's stored database by title, industry and location. Either way, you decide who to look up. Lusha does not tell you who to look up.

Jesse starts from a description of the buyer. "Logistics companies in Texas that opened a new warehouse in the last 60 days." Jesse works out which signals matter and searches the live internet. It returns the companies with the source attached. Then it enriches the contact if you ask.

The gap shows on conditions. "Opened a new warehouse" is not a Lusha filter. It is an event, and Jesse finds events because it reads the web when you ask.

How fresh is Jesse's data compared with Lusha's?

Lusha holds a stored database and refreshes it on a schedule. Lusha's records come from public sources, partners and a contributory community, and are refreshed periodically. As of 25 August 2026, the four most common complaints in Lusha's 1,665 G2 reviews are about data: data inaccuracy (48), inaccurate or missing contacts (41), outdated contact information (36) and outdated data needing manual checks (33).

Jesse has no stored list to go stale. Every query runs against the live internet at the moment you ask. That is not a criticism of Lusha's effort; it is what happens to any stored record between refreshes.

We tested the difference. On 21 August 2026, Jesse Research ran one query, "BFSIs facing challenges with debt recovery," in Jesse, Lusha, Apollo.io and Clay. Jesse returned 99 companies, each with a dated source. Lusha's assistant applied one filter, Building Construction, and returned 327,590 results led by Larsen & Toubro, Skanska and Bechtel.

Be fair to Lusha here. We took the assistant's first answer and did not refine it. Lusha also offers manual filters, and a differently worded prompt may well have done better. What we can say is narrow: on this query, in this interface, on this day, the list did not match the brief.

How to write a prospecting query shows the pattern. And you can read the full four-tool test with screenshots.

How does Jesse's pricing compare with Lusha's?

Prices as of 20 August 2026. Both vendors price per plan, not per user.

Where Lusha is the better choice

    • Looking up a contact you are already looking at. Lusha's browser extension puts an email and phone number one click away on a LinkedIn profile. Jesse does not offer a browser extension among its documented features. If your day is spent on LinkedIn turning names into numbers, Lusha is the faster tool.
    • Cost per contact. One credit for an email and 5 or 10 for a phone number is far cheaper than Jesse's 5 and 30. For a phone-heavy team, that difference is the whole budget.
    • Sharing one pool of credits across a small team. Lusha's Pro plan includes 2 seats and Premium 5, expandable to 10 and 25, all drawing on one credit pool. Jesse is one seat per plan. For a five-person team that wants one line item, Lusha's packaging is the better fit.
    • A recurring free plan. Lusha's free tier renews with 40 credits every month. Jesse's 1,000 free credits are given once. For occasional lookups with no budget, Lusha's free plan keeps working after Jesse's runs out.
    • CRM integrations out of the box. Lusha pushes contacts into common CRMs directly, and CRM integration appears among its G2 pros (34 reviews). Jesse offers API, MCP and n8n access from the Business plan, but the CRM connection is yours to build.

Where Jesse is the better choice

    • Finding the companies in the first place. Lusha assumes you already know who to look up. Jesse finds companies by what just happened to them: funding, hiring, a new location, a filing. That is signal-based selling in the plain sense, and Lusha has no equivalent.
    • Markets that LinkedIn describes badly. Real estate, local services, trades, events. Lusha's extension works where the buyer has a polished LinkedIn profile. Jesse's live search works where the signal is a permit, a listing or a local news story.
    • Entering a segment you do not know. Jesse tells you which signals matter in a market, then finds the companies showing them. Lusha's filters assume you already know the titles and industries to pick.
    • A solo seller who needs to find and reach. Jesse Pro is $9 for about 100 searches with signals attached, and enrichment on top. Lusha Starter is $49.90 for lookup alone.
    • Automation at a low price. Jesse's API, MCP server and n8n access start at $29 a month on Business. Lusha's API sits on its higher tiers.

How to switch from Lusha to Jesse

Most Lusha users should not switch outright, because Lusha is doing a job Jesse does not do cheaply. Here is the order that keeps the good part.

    1. 1

Run your top segment as a sentence in Jesse.

Take the filters you use most in Lusha and describe the buyer in plain English, adding the event that usually precedes a purchase. Jesse's free plan gives you 1,000 credits, about 100 searches, with no card.

    2. 2

      Compare one campaign.

Send to the Lusha-filtered list and the Jesse list in the same week. Watch reply rate, not list size.

    3. 3

Decide what Lusha is still for.

If the answer is phone numbers, keep it. Lusha's phone credits cost a fifth of Jesse's or less. Feed it Jesse's CSV export instead of a LinkedIn search.

    4. 4

      Watch the rollover rules.

Lusha's monthly plans roll unused credits forward up to twice the allowance; annual plans do not roll over at all. Check your balance before renewal.

    5. 5

      Downgrade rather than cancel.

Lusha's free plan keeps 40 credits a month on one seat, which is enough for occasional lookups once Jesse is doing the finding.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is Lusha?

Lusha is a B2B contact data tool built around a browser extension. Open a LinkedIn profile or company page and click the extension. Lusha returns an email address and phone number from its stored database, charging credits per reveal. It also offers filter-based search, list building and CRM integrations. Lusha starts free with 40 credits a month, and paid plans begin at $49.90 a month.

    How much does Lusha cost?

As of 20 August 2026, Lusha's plans are Starter $49.90, Pro $69.90 and Premium $399.90 a month, with Scale by quote. Prices are per plan, not per user: Pro includes 2 seats and Premium 5, expandable to 10 and 25. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5 or 10, depending on which Lusha page you read. Jesse, by comparison, runs $9, $29 or $100 a month.

    Is Lusha free?

Yes. Lusha's free plan renews every month with 40 credits on one seat, enough for a few dozen email reveals or a handful of phone numbers. Jesse's free plan is 1,000 credits given once, roughly 100 company searches. Lusha's is the better free plan to keep for occasional lookups. Jesse's is the better one for finding companies with signals attached.

    How do Lusha credits work?

One Lusha credit reveals one email address. A phone number costs 5 credits according to Lusha's documentation and 10 according to its pricing FAQ. On monthly plans, unused credits roll forward up to twice the monthly allowance. On annual plans, unused credits do not roll over. Jesse uses one meter too: a company search is 10 credits, an email 5, and a phone number 30 with the email included.

    How does Lusha work?

Lusha keeps a stored database of business contacts, built from public sources, partner data and a contributory community, and refreshes it on a schedule. You reach it through a browser extension on LinkedIn, through filter-based search, or through CRM and API integrations. Each reveal costs credits. Jesse works differently: it searches the live internet when you ask, so there is no stored record to go stale.

    Is Lusha worth it?

For a small team that already knows its accounts and works from LinkedIn, yes. At 1 credit per email, Lusha is among the cheapest ways to turn a name into contact details. Shared seats keep it on one line item. It is a weaker buy if your real problem is deciding who to contact, because Lusha does not find companies for you. Pair it with Jesse for that.

Lusha vs Apollo.io: which is better?

They overlap more than Lusha and Jesse do. Apollo.io is a stored database with email sequences, a dialer and a scheduler built in, at $49 per user a month. Lusha is a lighter contact-lookup tool with shared seats from $49.90 a plan. Choose Apollo.io to find, contact and sequence in one tool; choose Lusha to look up contacts cheaply and send from elsewhere. Neither finds companies by a recent event.

Lusha vs ZoomInfo: which is better?

ZoomInfo is the deeper, enterprise option: org charts, intent data, and a sales-led contract with no published price. Lusha is the lighter, self-serve one: a browser extension, published prices from $49.90, and shared seats. A small team gets more from Lusha; a large team working big accounts gets more from ZoomInfo. See our ZoomInfo comparison for that pair. Jesse vs ZoomInfo.

What's the difference between Jesse and Lusha?

Jesse finds companies. Lusha looks up contacts. Jesse searches the live internet on every query and returns companies with a dated buying signal on every row, from one plain-English sentence. It starts at $9 a month. Lusha reveals emails and phone numbers for people you already found, through a browser extension and a stored database, from $49.90 a month. Many teams use both.

Can I use Jesse and Lusha together?

Yes, and it is a sensible pairing. Use Jesse to find companies showing a signal now, export the results to CSV from the Pro plan, and look the contacts up in Lusha. Lusha's phone numbers cost 5 or 10 credits against Jesse's 30, so a phone-heavy team saves credits that way. Jesse's API and n8n access from Business can automate the handoff.

How do I remove myself from Lusha?

Lusha runs an opt-out for people who find their details in its database. Submit a removal request through Lusha's privacy pages, verify your identity, and Lusha removes the record under GDPR and CCPA. Removal covers Lusha's stored record of you. Jesse holds no stored contact database, so there is no equivalent record to remove.

What's the best Lusha alternative for a small agency sharing seats?

It depends on the job. For shared contact lookup on one line item, Lusha's own Pro plan at $69.90 for 2 seats is hard to beat. Apollo.io at $49 per user adds sequences. For finding which companies to pitch, Jesse Business at $29 a month covers the whole agency's searches with signals attached. It pairs with either tool for contact details.

Stop looking up contacts. Start finding buyers.
