ZoomInfo Pricing 2026: Cost per User, SMB Cost Benchmarks and a 5-Seat Pilot vs Self-Serve Tools
ZoomInfo pricing in 2026: five sellers cost $15,000–$19,995 a year at list versus a $975 median three-month self-serve pilot. Original Jesse Research data.
A Jesse Research pricing study · Last updated: 28 September 2026 · Prices checked 28 September 2026 · By Sudipta Biswas, co-founder, Floworks
How much does ZoomInfo cost a small team in 2026?
ZoomInfo publishes no self-serve price; scaling its two public list prices to five sellers gives a 12-month commitment of $15,000 to $19,995. Jesse Research found a 5-seat, 3-month pilot on a self-serve contact database with phone data costs $735 to $1,485, with a median of $975. ZoomInfo's lowest public paid route, five one-user AWS Marketplace Sales Basic licenses at list (an illustrative scaling), needs 15 times that in up-front cash. Vendr puts ZoomInfo's median contract at $33,500 a year across all team sizes.
What are the key findings?
- The pilot gap is 15x in committed cash (a 12-month minimum vs a 3-month pilot). ZoomInfo's lowest public paid route for five sellers commits $15,000 for 12 months. Jesse Research found the median 3-month, 5-seat pilot on a phone-capable self-serve database costs $975.
- The annual gap is 5x. On a like-for-like 12-month basis, the median self-serve contact database costs $2,940 a year for five sellers. ZoomInfo's lowest public paid route is $15,000.
- Discounts don't close the gap. Tropic reports 30–65% off ZoomInfo list prices, depending on volume. Five seats on the $19,995 Professional+ list cost about $13,997 at 30% off and $6,998 at 65% off: 2.4 to 4.8 times the self-serve median.
- Billing rules matter as much as price. Every self-serve vendor in this study sells a monthly-billed plan; for UpLead that is the per-user Essentials plan, and Lead411 publishes only a starting price. ZoomInfo's own pricing guide says "Monthly billing is not standard."
- Seat math favours account-based plans. Hunter, Snov.io and Clay include unlimited users, so a sixth seller costs nothing extra on those three plans. Lusha Premium bundles five seats, but teams above five must contact sales.
What do reported ZoomInfo contracts cost?
ZoomInfo's pricing page shows plan names and a sales form, not prices. So the benchmarks come from procurement platforms and one public marketplace listing.
Table 1: Reported ZoomInfo price points, by source type (compiled by Jesse Research, 28 September 2026)
| Source | Type | Figure | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vendr buyer guide | Procurement data | Median $33,500/yr; range $7,213–$155,820 | Based on 1,573 purchases; average savings 22% |
| Tropic | Procurement list prices | Professional+ $14,995/yr (3 seats); Advanced+ $29,995; Elite+ $35,995; extra license $2,500/yr | "Over $19 billion in software spend data"; updated 6 Aug 2026 |
| AWS Marketplace | Public vendor listing | ZoomInfo Sales Basic: $3,000 for a 12-month contract, 1 user, 2,000 bulk credits | Listing states "We do not support refunds" |
| ZoomInfo pricing guide | Vendor | No paid prices; ZoomInfo Lite free with 10 credits a month (25 with Community Edition) | Updated 7 Jul 2026 |
The AWS Marketplace listing is the only public ZoomInfo paid price Jesse Research found. At $3,000 per user per year, it works out to $250 per seat per month. Tropic's Professional+ list works out to about $417 per seat per month for its three included seats ($14,995 ÷ 36), or $333 stretched to five seats with two extra licenses ($19,995 ÷ 60). Apollo.io Basic costs $65 per seat per month on monthly billing.
The procurement figures describe contracts of every size, not five-seat teams. Vendr notes that buyers with smaller seat counts often pay higher per-seat prices, but gives no dollar figures by seat count. Tropic's tier names differ from the plan names on ZoomInfo's pricing page. Treat both as ranges, not quotes.
What does a 5-seat, 3-month pilot cost on each tool?
Table 2: Minimum Pilot Commitment for five sellers over three months, sorted by tool type (Jesse Research, SMB Prospecting Data Pricing Study, September 2026)
| Tool and plan | Pricing unit | Monthly-billed price | Minimum Pilot Commitment | Months locked in | 12-month cost, annual billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZoomInfo Professional+ + 2 licenses (Tropic list) | Platform + seats | Not offered | $19,995 | 12 | $19,995 |
| ZoomInfo Sales Basic ×5 (AWS list) | Per user | Not offered | $15,000 | 12 | $15,000 |
| UpLead Essentials ×5 | Per user; team plan is custom and annual | $99 per user | $1,485 | 3 | $4,440 |
| Lusha Premium | Per account; 5 seats included | $399.90 | $1,199.70 | 3 | $3,599 |
| Apollo.io Basic | Per seat | $65 per seat | $975 | 3 | $2,940 |
| Kaspr Starter | Per user; credits pooled | $65 per user | $975 | 3 | $2,940 |
| Prospeo Starter | Per user | $49 per user | $735 | 3 | $2,220 |
| Lead411 Ignite | Multi-user plan; 5-seat price not published | From $150 | $450+ (entry price; 5-seat price unpublished) | 3 | $1,500+ |
| Clay Launch | Per account; unlimited seats | $185 | $555 | 3 | $2,004 |
| Hunter Starter (email only) | Per account; unlimited members | $49 | $147 | 3 | $408 |
| Snov.io Starter (email only) | Per account; unlimited seats | $39 | $117 | 3 | $468 (annual discount not published)* |
| Agent Jesse Business (prospect search, not a contact database) | Per account | $29 | $87 | 3 | $276 |
Snov.io's annual price was not readable on its page, so the 12-month figure is the monthly price times 12. Lead411 publishes only a "starting at" price for its multi-user Ignite plan, so its row is a floor and is excluded from the medians.
Five phone-capable contact databases (Apollo.io, Kaspr, Lusha, Prospeo and UpLead) cost $735 to $1,485 for the pilot. The median is $975. Email-only tools and account-priced platforms cost less, but they buy a different product.

What is the Minimum Pilot Commitment?
Minimum Pilot Commitment (MPC) is a Jesse Research metric: the smallest cash outlay a vendor's published billing rules allow to put a set number of sellers on a tool for a set trial period. This study fixes the scenario at five sellers for three months.
MPC = (price per billing unit) × (units needed for five sellers) × (the longer of 3 months or the minimum term)
MPC answers the question a small team asks before a pilot: how much cash is at risk if the tool doesn't work? A tool with a lower annual price can still carry a higher MPC if it sells only annual terms.
What does a full year cost for five sellers?
On a like-for-like 12-month basis, the median self-serve contact database costs $2,940 for five sellers, according to Jesse Research. That median covers Apollo.io, Kaspr, Lusha, Prospeo and UpLead on annual billing. ZoomInfo's two public list routes cost $15,000 and $19,995.

Chart 2: 12-month cost for 5 sellers on annual billing (Jesse Research, September 2026). View chart · Download SVG
Negotiation narrows the annual gap but doesn't close it. Tropic ties its 30–65% discount range to volume, so a 5-seat deal is unlikely to reach the top of the range. At 30% off the $19,995 list, five seats cost about $13,997. Even the 65% ceiling leaves about $6,998. Vendr reports 15–30% off initial quotes for multi-year commitments and 10–20% for annual prepayment. The bottom of Vendr's reported range, $7,213, is about 2.5 times the self-serve median.
Why is the gap about billing rules, not just price?
ZoomInfo sells annual terms through its sales team, while every self-serve tool in this study offers a monthly-billed plan. ZoomInfo's own pricing guide says: "Most paid plans are billed annually upfront. Monthly billing is not standard."
Renewal terms add to the commitment. Vendr says "ZoomInfo contracts often include annual price escalation clauses (typically 5–10%)." ZoomInfo's guide tells buyers to "confirm the notice period required to cancel or renegotiate before auto-renewal triggers."
Self-serve plans put the exit in the buyer's hands. UpLead's pricing page says its "monthly plans have no contract or long-term commitment." Lusha's pricing page says "You can cancel your plan at any time!"
Buyers say this matters. Transparent pricing has been buyers' #1 wish-list item for vendors for four years running, according to the TrustRadius 2026 B2B Buying Disconnect report (1,862 buyers, surveyed January 2026).
Why is ZoomInfo priced for larger teams?
ZoomInfo says it is moving downmarket sales to a product-led motion while upmarket customers dominate revenue. Its Q2 2026 results show 76% of annual contract value came from upmarket customers, and 1,891 customers pay $100,000 or more a year.
"Downmarket ACV declined 12% year-over-year in Q2. As announced last quarter, we took out more downmarket sales resources and are shifting more to a PLG-led motion down market."
— Graham O'Brien, Chief Financial Officer, ZoomInfo, Q2 2026 earnings call, 5 August 2026 (transcript, published 12 August)
On the same call, Founder and CEO Henry Schuck said per-seat customers will be able to buy "via more flexible pricing and packaging built around pre-bought consumption." If ZoomInfo publishes a self-serve price, Jesse Research will update this study.
What does a pilot actually buy in phone numbers?
Price per pilot is not price per contact, because credit rules differ by tool. Jesse Research divided each pilot's credits by the vendor's published credit cost per phone number. This is the maximum number of phone reveals if every credit went to phones.
Table 3: Maximum phone reveals in a 5-seat, 3-month pilot, where the vendor publishes a phone credit cost (Jesse Research, September 2026)
| Tool and plan | Credits in pilot | Credits per phone | Max phone reveals | Pilot cost per phone reveal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo.io Basic (monthly) | 37,500 | 8 | 4,687 | $0.21 |
| Lusha Premium | 10,200 | 5 | 2,040 | $0.59 |
| Kaspr Starter | 1,500 phone credits | 1 | 1,500 | $0.65 |
Credits in pilot: Apollo.io 2,500 per seat per month × 5 seats × 3 months; Lusha Premium 3,400 per month × 3; Kaspr 100 phone credits per user per month × 5 × 3. Credit rules from each vendor's pricing page, 28 September 2026: Apollo.io (phone 8 credits, email 1), Lusha (phone 5, email 1), Kaspr (100 phone credits per user per month on Starter). Agent Jesse is excluded from this table because it is a prospect-search tool, not a contact database; its figures are in the CSV.
On published credit rules, Apollo.io delivers the most phone reveals per pilot dollar of the three contact databases in this table. A reveal is not a verified connect. Test connect rates on your own accounts before choosing on this number.
Where is ZoomInfo's contract still worth it?
ZoomInfo earns its price for teams selling into large enterprises. Deep org charts, intent data at scale and procurement-ready contracts are real value that none of the self-serve tools above fully replaces.
Two groups should price ZoomInfo seriously even at five seats. Teams whose deals involve large buying committees need the org-chart depth. Teams whose procurement requires enterprise security reviews and signed order forms may find self-serve terms harder to approve.
How do you run a 5-seat pilot without an annual contract?
- Pick two tools with monthly billing. Choose one per-seat database and one account-priced tool, so seat math shows up in the result.
- Load the same 200 target accounts into both. Use accounts your team already knows, so you can judge quality.
- Track bounces, connects and replies, not list size. Record hard bounces on email and live connects on phone numbers for each tool.
- Diarise the cancellation date on day one. Monthly plans renew automatically; cancel before day 90 if the pilot fails.
- Ask ZoomInfo for a pilot-length quote in writing. If it offers terms shorter than 12 months, compare that MPC directly with Table 2.
How did Jesse Research run this study?
Methodology. Jesse Research, the in-house research team at Agent Jesse, collected public pricing for 11 vendors on 28 September 2026. That produced 13 price points: ten self-serve plans and three ZoomInfo benchmarks.
- Self-serve prices come from each vendor's official pricing page. Pages that render prices in JavaScript (Apollo.io, Clay, Lead411, Lusha, Prospeo) were read in a browser.
- Plan selection. For each tool, we chose the cheapest published plan that legally covers five users. Where a plan charges per user, we multiplied by five.
- ZoomInfo benchmarks come from the AWS Marketplace listing, Tropic's published list prices and Vendr's buyer guide. The AWS row multiplies a one-user listing by five and is illustrative.
- Exclusions. Cognism and Seamless.AI publish no paid prices. RocketReach showed regional currency, not US dollars, so it was excluded.
- Limits. This is a desk study of list prices, not a survey of signed contracts. Credits, data coverage and features differ, so MPC compares cash at risk, not value.
Disclosure: Agent Jesse is a product of Floworks and appears in this study. Agent Jesse was priced with the same rules as every other tool, and it is labelled as a prospect-search tool, not a contact database.

Frequently asked questions
How much does ZoomInfo cost per year for a small team?
ZoomInfo doesn't publish paid prices; you get a quote after a sales call. Scaled to five sellers, ZoomInfo's two public list prices come to $15,000 to $19,995 a year. Those are five one-user Sales Basic licenses on AWS Marketplace, or Professional+ plus two licenses at Tropic's list price. Vendr's median ZoomInfo contract, across all team sizes, is $33,500 a year from 1,573 purchases.
How much does ZoomInfo cost per user per month?
ZoomInfo's only public paid listing, Sales Basic on AWS Marketplace, costs $3,000 a year for one user and 2,000 credits. That works out to $250 per seat per month, billed as a 12-month contract. Tropic lists additional ZoomInfo licenses at $2,500 a year, about $208 a month. By comparison, Apollo.io Basic costs $65 per seat per month billed monthly, or $49 billed annually.
Can you pay for ZoomInfo monthly?
Not as standard. ZoomInfo's own pricing guide says "Most paid plans are billed annually upfront. Monthly billing is not standard." The AWS Marketplace listing offers 12-, 24- and 36-month terms. The free ZoomInfo Lite tier has no annual commitment and includes 10 credits a month, or 25 with Community Edition. Every self-serve tool in the Jesse Research study offers a monthly-billed plan; for UpLead that is the per-user Essentials plan, since its team plan is annual.
Can I run a 3-month pilot of ZoomInfo?
ZoomInfo's public price points require 12-month terms, so a 3-month pilot needs a custom agreement. Jesse Research found a 5-seat, 3-month pilot on a phone-capable self-serve database costs $735 to $1,485, with a median of $975. Ask ZoomInfo in writing for pilot-length terms before signing an annual contract, and compare that commitment with self-serve alternatives.
What is the cheapest ZoomInfo alternative for a 5-person team?
It depends on whether you need phone numbers. Among the ten self-serve plans priced, for phone data Prospeo Starter ($735) and Apollo.io Basic ($975) had the lowest 5-seat, 3-month pilot costs in the Jesse Research study. Agent Jesse ($87) is excluded here because it is a prospect-search tool, not a contact database. For email only, Snov.io ($117) and Hunter ($147) cost less because each includes unlimited users. Clay Launch costs $555 but is an enrichment workflow platform.
How much does Apollo.io cost for 5 users?
Apollo.io Basic costs $65 per seat per month billed monthly, so five users cost $325 a month, or $975 for a 3-month pilot. On annual billing, Apollo.io Basic is $49 per seat per month, or $2,940 a year for five users. Apollo's Organization plan is annual-only with a three-seat minimum. Prices come from Apollo's pricing page, checked 28 September 2026.
How does ZoomInfo's cost compare with Apollo.io for 5 users?
Apollo.io costs a fraction of ZoomInfo's public list routes for five sellers. Five Apollo.io Basic seats cost $2,940 a year on annual billing, or $975 for a 3-month pilot on monthly billing. ZoomInfo's lowest public paid list route for five sellers is $15,000 a year on a 12-month contract, about 5 times Apollo's annual cost. ZoomInfo offers deeper org charts and intent data for enterprise selling.
Is Lusha cheaper than ZoomInfo for a small team?
Yes, at every published price point. Lusha Premium costs $399.90 a month billed monthly and includes five seats, so a 3-month pilot costs $1,199.70. On annual billing, Lusha Premium costs $3,599 a year. Lusha's pricing page says teams larger than five users must contact sales. ZoomInfo's lowest public paid route for five sellers is $15,000 a year.
How much can you negotiate off ZoomInfo's price?
Procurement platforms report meaningful discounts. Tropic reports 30–65% off ZoomInfo list prices, depending on volume, and Vendr reports average savings of 22% across 1,573 purchases. On the $19,995 Professional+ list for five seats, that means about $13,997 at 30% off and $6,998 at 65% off. Vendr adds 15–30% off quotes for multi-year terms. Vendr says contracts often include 5–10% annual price escalation clauses, so negotiate renewal caps.
Does ZoomInfo auto-renew?
Renewal terms sit in each customer's order form, and ZoomInfo's guide tells buyers to check them. ZoomInfo's pricing guide advises buyers to "confirm the notice period required to cancel or renegotiate before auto-renewal triggers." Vendr says ZoomInfo contracts often include annual price escalation clauses of typically 5–10%. Put the notice deadline in your calendar the day you sign.
Is ZoomInfo worth it for a small business?
It can be if you sell into large enterprises and need deep org charts or intent data. For a five-person team testing outbound, ZoomInfo's lowest public paid commitment is 15 times the cash of the median self-serve pilot, per Jesse Research. Most small teams should test a monthly-billed tool first. Then price ZoomInfo once deal sizes justify a $15,000-plus annual contract.
What does Minimum Pilot Commitment mean?
Minimum Pilot Commitment (MPC) is a Jesse Research metric. It measures the smallest cash outlay a vendor's published billing rules allow to put a set number of sellers on a tool for a trial period. This study uses five sellers for three months. MPC shows cash at risk if a tool fails, not the value it delivers.
Where does this ZoomInfo pricing data come from?
Self-serve prices come from each vendor's official pricing page, checked on 28 September 2026. ZoomInfo figures come from its AWS Marketplace listing, Tropic's list prices and Vendr's buyer data, because ZoomInfo publishes no paid prices. The full table, formulas and source URLs are in the downloadable CSV. Cite it as the Jesse Research SMB Prospecting Data Pricing Study, September 2026.
